Events FAQ

BLK Events connect you with others in real life, whether it’s a happy hour, a paint night, or grabbing dinner. Events are available on iOS and Android in select markets.

Accessing Events

If Events is available to you, you can find it by following the instructions below:

  1. Open BLK
  2. Tap the Events tab 📅 (calendar icon)
  3. Explore Events being hosted in your area

Using Events

Once on the Events tab, you'll see Events happening in your area, including the location and time. Tap an event to see more details. Some events link out to a third-party site for more information or tickets.

It's worth keeping the following in mind:

  • Events are available in limited markets.
  • Tapping Reserve spot saves the event to your Your Events list so you can find it again. It doesn't share your interest with other users.
  • Past events will show as Expired

Getting tickets for an Event

If an event has a ticket or RSVP link, tap Reserve Spot to go to the external site and follow the instructions there. BLK doesn't process tickets or payments in-app.

Adding an Event to Your Calendar

You can add an Event to your phone's calendar so you don't miss it. Tap Add to Calendar on the Event details page. You may be asked to grant BLK permission to access your calendar. This lets the app confirm the event was added successfully.

Safety with Events

The same respect and safety standards apply both on BLK and when meeting in person. Below, you'll find resources on IRL dating safety tips and reporting inappropriate behavior.

You can report inappropriate content or behavior from an Event the same way you would elsewhere on BLK.
